Ladybug Christmas Cottage

My morning Visitor

A little goofing off for me this morning as I attempt to entertain this ladybug visitor this morning. I offered her my daughter's gingerbread house which she said she liked very much but had errands to run and wasn't able to stay. I saw the occasional ladybug in the Bay Area of California where I grew up, very occasional. Here in Michigan there are ladybugs everywhere, hundreds of them. I'd read about a ladybug that was a predator Japanese ladybug (I think) that preys on the good ladybugs and I don't know which one this is, but it was little and spotted and stopped by to say hello while I was listing the new photo of pink Easter peeps in the store. Mother's Day minis are next in line for The Fabulous Farmhouse and I am not sure when those will be listed but I will sure give you a heads up here on the blog:) Be sure and stop by to see our new items if you haven't lately, and enjoy your Thursday!

She's At It Again!

I got an email from Melissa casually mentioning gift sets posted on Flickr. So understated! This woman has been holding out on us, she has a ginormous collection of the most beautiful barbies, and her photography? Well you must go see for yourself. Melissa you are fabulous! I spent an hour there, reminiscing of the time when hours went by playing with these gems. Mine never looked as sweet as these though! Wow!

About The Dollhouse…

This 13-room Victorian Doll House was donated to Michigan Opera Theatre in 2006 by Dr. and Mrs. Carl E. Reichert, Jr. Originally purchased in kit form, the house was assembled, wired, decorated and furnished over the course of three years. Each room has special features with furnishings both hand-made and purchased from many talented miniaturists from as far away as London, England. To see more about the dollhouse click here.

Miniature Dollhouse Children's Shape Books

With March being National Reading Month I wanted to get more books made for you. So many to choose from I selected 12 more children's books and some in shapes! Along with the new books post I've changed that music track again. Why the crazy music selection you ask? Well I chose it because those are the songs that played in our house when I was little. Growing up I had my nose in a book often. I didn't grow up with these books, these were before my time. I will be making more books, and some will even be one's I grew up with. Oh, remember weekly reader?  That paper flyer the teacher would pass out with a short description and price of the book. She's always show it right before a test or something and make us wait. Then to finally get my hands on it! Exciting!!! I recommend reading as often as possible to little ones that can't just yet. Not sure what to buy for the little one? A book is always a great choice. Reading is important. Oh and I'm not going to keep that music on for long:) Just thought I'd let ya know. Enjoy!
