At this present time I can cross off "Change Wrapped Gift Category Photo" off of my to do list. If you're anything like me you have lists of lists of to do's that range from "Do first" to "Get to this some year" and I think my tasks switch lists on their own doing because they get tired of waiting for me:) It's been bothering me that I haven't had my Christmas miniatures finished on schedule as planned. It finally occurred to me today that I have no control over that, and it's alright. It's alright because I have every other miniature holiday listed in the store and we can't have it all, right? We try.
Last Saturday I went to our local Deer Widow's Crafts Show at the Elementary School and I was talking to a lady that made beautiful wreaths and swags along with items such as old antique sleds adorned with ice skates and holiday ribbons paired with festive greenery. I stopped and admired and the woman said to me "everyone is getting ideas". As a previous crafter that did take my handcrafted items to local fairs I understood her comment well. I smiled and let her know I was fresh out of time for any more ideas:) A few days before that I went on an overnight girls trip where we ate out and shopped for two days! I loved that!!! Ikea was great too! Wow a much needed vacation without a doubt, and I came home feeling much more patient and refreshed, not to mention with new clothes too. So I'm making time for myself a little bit more these days, because we all deserve that. I got our tree up and decorated for Christmas
I'm also expecting my first grand baby girl Naomi any day now. No wonder I can't sit still long...I guess I thought with the farm garden and backyard garden finished there would be more time. One of my favorite drawings the kids did back in elementary school was of a clock with about 24 or 25 hours! We can all use one of those clocks right? My genius children:)
Oh also, I have created a Facebook page for The Fabulous Farmhouse. The link is on the left if you'd like to be a Fan. I previously only had my own personal Facebook account listed and it was filling up with folks I wanted to network with and great idea, so I also created a facebook account for The Fabulous Farmhouse and essentially redirected traffic. Besides, some things over there you just don't want to see, trust me:)
Last week I filled an order that included a miniature Easter Basket and miniature wrapped Frankenstein frosted sugar cookie.
It sure brought a smile to my face! So you really can buy miniature holidays all year round!
My new little Christmas minis will arrive in the store hopefully sooner than later, but you can count on being able to put them in your Easter Basket too (or on the table or under the dollhouse tree) Whatever you choose, I do hope you'll stop by and take a peek to see if The Fabulous Farmhouse can help your miniature holiday decorating and shopping fun and easy this year and the New Year to come. Many many thanks to you and a wish of a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday for you and yours!

Take Care!!!

Thank you ladies, it's another exciting day! Happy Thanksgiving to you both as well. My treetopper was made by GE back in the 50's and I love her even as she glows on the yellow side she is so unique. My daughter said she is glowing especially yellow this year to make up for last year lol!

Hey mom, It was me that made the 26 hour clock. I have it over at my house. I like your gifts, they make want to rip them open hoping that there are little mini gifts in them. I can't wait to come visit tomorrow. I love you.
